Thursday John Schneeberger was recently released from prison, after

argued that it should be invalid because he lied about being under
police investigation when he applied. If his citizenship is taken away,
he would be considered a permanent resident, but immigration officials

TORONTO - When an investigator for the College of Physicians and
Surgeons of Ontario turned up on Alan Abelsohn's doorstep to tell him a
former patient was accusing him of sexual abuse, a charge for which he
could lose his licence, the 52-year-old physician was hardly surprised.
It was May, 2002, and for two years he had suffered the woman's
secretive harassment after she had fallen obsessively in love with him
and he broke off their allegedly kinky psychotherapy. The woman, a
middle-aged children's author with a nervous demeanour, has admitted to
stealing his mail, spying on his girlfriend, staking out his house and
even entering it while he was away, but none of this achieved her
stated goal of breaking up the divorced doctor's romance with a younger
woman.

The board revoked Dr. Hurwitz's license in 1996 for over-prescribing

. Earlier this year,
Dr. Hurwitz was again before the medical board to answer more than 30
allegations of grossly negligent care since the 1997 restoration
-- the
same conduct for which he recently was indicted. Despite evidence of
willful and reckless behavior, the board only suspended his license.

Zo bericht www.radio.nl.

CHINA: Jealous doctor locks up wife -- February 4, 2002 -- www.radio.nl – Translation by: Misbruik door Hulpverleners -- Only he had the key. A doctor in southwest China doubted whether his wife Liu was being faithful to him. He devised an extreme but efficient way to ensure her faithfulness... The neighbours of the woman realised of late that she was walking with difficulty through the street. Worried they reported this to the police who started an investigation, the daily Beijing Evening News writes. The police discovered that the 22-year old woman had a rusty lock hanging through two holes put in her labia. Liu took the police officers to the clinic of doctor Yao Yung. He relinquished the key and was directly taken into custody. It appears that the doctor had locked up the labia of his wife for fear that she might have sexual contacts with other men. Further investigation revealed that the doctor had in the past drugged and raped Liu when she had come in for a routine medical examination. The doctor had forced her to live with him under threat that were she not to do so that he would kill her family.

Stark psychologist's license suspended -- Woman says doctor coaxed her to have relationship with him -- December 9, 2001 -- Acron Beacon Journal – COLUMBUS - The state psychology board has indefinitely suspended the license of a Stark County psychologist after a woman said he coaxed her into a sexual relationship with him. Scarlet Rue, 39, testified that Lorin Sommers, 53, of North Canton persuaded her to temporarily leave her husband and children and move into his home with his wife and children. Rue said that after she filed a complaint against him with the board, he drove her to Columbus to withdraw the charge and talked her into opening a Christian counseling center with him, using $20,000 he owed her as her contribution to the partnership. Sommers did not attend Friday's board meeting and did not return phone calls. His lawyer, Craig Conley, said, ``Many of the allegations that she made are simply not true. The more bizarre ones are not.'' He said Sommers ``has committed himself to doing whatever the board directs him to do . . . and is hopeful that he can re-enter practice.'' Records show that Sommers admitted to the board in February 1999 that ``the boundaries in the therapeutic relationship were blurred and eroded.'' The board advised him to see fewer patients, learn to define boundaries with his clients and enter therapy himself. The suspension goes into effect Jan. 12.

Dokter J. heeft me kapot gemaakt.
